Transportation to Salt Lake City

With non-stop flights from over 70 U.S. cities, it's easy to get to Salt Lake City International airport. From there the Canyons Resort in Park City is only about 36 miles and 45 minutes away.

Ground Transportation from the Salt Lake City International Airport

Park City is 36 easy miles from the airport. Choose a round trip shuttle, or rent a car for the scenic 45-minute drive. Car rental facilities are located on the ground floor of the airport's short-term parking garage directly across from the terminal buildings. In deciding to rent a car or not, consider that The Canyons Resort is several miles from downtown Park City with its restaurants and nightlife. There is public transportation available in the Park City area, but because we will be there in the off-season, buses will not be running at night. Local Park City/Canyons Transportation

Renting a car when you come up from Salt Lake City is one way to ensure that you will have local transportation. Car rental rates from the airport are fairly reasonable, especially if you split the cost with a friend. Our conference is during the Park City off-season, so local bus service is reduced, and is not available in the evening. Ask at the hotel front desk for up-to-date bus schedule information, or call Park City Transit's recorded schedule information line 24 hours a day at (435) 615-5350, though until April you will get only winter schedule information. The Transit system also runs a free Main Street Trolley service through downtown Park City. Again, ask at the hotel front desk or call Park City Transit for details. Parking is available in a garage under the hotel for a fee, but surface parking also is available near the hotel. Ask about parking options when you check in.
